Hi! My name is Cindy Hillsey and I own Virtual Partnering.
It still gives me a thrill to write "virtual"
next to what I do! It is a dream realized for me. My
work history is full of different positions and experiences
because I am fascinated with, and love to participate
in, many aspects of business. I have also lived
in several locations including the West Coast and my
home away from home, Albuquerque,
New Mexico. I currently reside in Kentwood,
Michigan. One of the great things about being
virtual is that I can indulge my desire to travel and
still do what I love for my clients. It IS the
best of both worlds!
My journey into VA'ing has been a case
of "the longest way around is the shortest way
home". I first came upon the concept of a
VA, and AssistU,
in 2000 and the interest was immediate. What a great
way to combine my work experience with my computer experience.
I love being involved in a variety of different
projects and seeing them to fruition. In spite of the
attraction, I was not ready at the time to jump into
the virtual world. When my work situation changed (once
again) in 2001, I decided it was time to take my life
in a new direction. I enrolled in Davenport University
to complete my bachelor's degree and in April of 2004
I graduated in the top ten percent of my class with
a BS in Management. With my degree in hand, I
was more than ready to do something new and once again
AssistU
crossed my path. This time, I am happy to report, I
was ready to apply to AssistU's
Virtual Training Program (VTP) and own my own business.
In an ongoing effort to keep my skills
up-to-date and continue to promote the VA industry in
a positive light, I decided to go from being a graduate
of AssistU
to a Certified Professional Virtual Assistant (CPVA).
After an intense eight-week exam through AssistU I was
awarded the CPVA designation in September 2006 and in
July of 2007, I became a Trainer for AssistU.
I love a variety of clients. I am very
good at what I do and have always been a "go-to"
person in every position that I have had. I have
a reputation for always knowing where to obtain the
information, even if I have never been involved with
the particular situation. The most exciting thing for
me is in assisting my clients in achieving their goals.

GRADUATE
OF TAME THE PUBLISHING PROCESS THROUGH AUTHORSMART.COM
Because enhancing and keeping my skills
current are very important to not only me, but my clients,
I recently completed and passed a three-week intensive
training course called Tame
the Publishing Process. This course was for
*experienced* VAs wanting to become author's assistants.
The course covered the practical skills, knowledge,
and resources needed to assist and guide authors in
all stages of the publishing process.
